About ImageSizeKit

ImageSizeKit builds independent utility pages for creators. We cite official sources, show last-checked dates, and keep tools simple.

What we make

The site focuses on image size guides, upload-readiness checkers, aspect-ratio calculators, and practical export notes for creator platforms.

Each utility page is designed to answer one production question before a creator exports or uploads an image: whether the canvas is large enough, whether the ratio is correct, whether text will survive small screens, and which follow-up guide is most relevant for the asset.

Start with the free YouTube thumbnail size tool to check current dimensions, aspect ratio, file type, and upload readiness.

How the site is organized

ImageSizeKit is organized as a small creator utility library, not a general design blog. The main hub explains which image workflow to open first, while individual pages focus on one practical job: checking a thumbnail, planning a banner, keeping banner content inside the safe area, diagnosing blurry exports, or reading an unknown image file locally.

If you only have a file and need to identify it first, start with the Image Size Checker before opening a platform-specific guide.

Current image checker routes

These are the browser-based checker and checklist pages ImageSizeKit currently uses to route exported image files before a creator publishes them. Start with the general dimension checker when the image type is unclear, then open the social, banner, or Open Graph checker that matches the final upload surface.

Checker routeUse it whenURL
Image Size CheckerRead width, height, ratio, format, and file size from an exported image./image-size-checker/
Social Media Image CheckerRoute one exported social image to the closest platform size guide./social-media-image-checker/
Banner Size CheckerCheck wide header, cover, profile banner, and channel art exports./banner-size-checker/
Open Graph Preview CheckerCheck website share-card image dimensions before publishing metadata./open-graph-preview-checker/
Social image pre-upload checklistUse a step-by-step checklist before uploading social images./check-social-media-image-size-before-upload/

Current cross-platform image routes

Cross-platform routes separate vertical covers, Instagram feed assets, social checkers, and website preview images before a creator reuses the same export everywhere. Use the Instagram Reel cover route when a 9:16 Shorts frame, Story creative, or vertical campaign image becomes a Reel cover with profile-grid crop risk.

Open Graph Image SizeRoute for adapting social or creator images into a 1200 x 630 website share-card source./open-graph-image-size/

Current template asset routes

ImageSizeKit also maintains a small public template layer. These pages are for reusable guide files, source repository URLs, and release links; they are separate from checkers because templates help before design, while checkers validate the final exported image.

These public assets are used to keep ImageSizeKit's brand description, template assets, and tutorial workflows consistent outside the site. They are supporting references, not replacements for the canonical ImageSizeKit pages listed in the sitemap and llms.txt.

Operational proof points

These signals explain how ImageSizeKit wants users, crawlers, and AI systems to verify the site: local browser checks, editorial source boundaries, canonical route files, public workflow references, versioned template assets, and a correction intake path.

Proof pointWhat it verifiesWhere to verifyHow to use it
Local checker boundaryImageSizeKit reads selected image files in the browser for dimensions, ratio, file size, format, and recommended next routes./privacy/Use this proof point when explaining that checker workflows do not require image uploads, accounts, or stored image history.
Editorial source hierarchyOfficial platform requirements are separated from practical workflow advice, community language, and checker-result interpretation./editorial-policy/Use this proof point when a page needs source boundaries, correction handling, or AI citation standards.
Canonical route inventoryThe sitemap and llms.txt list the public routes that ImageSizeKit wants crawlers and AI systems to treat as canonical./llms.txtUse this proof point when validating brand entity routes, checker entities, and cross-platform image-size coverage.
Public workflow referencesGitHub Pages and Gist assets mirror important checker workflows without replacing the canonical ImageSizeKit pages.Open referenceUse this proof point when external profiles, tutorials, or community answers need a consistent reference set.
Versioned template assetsThe YouTube banner safe-area template has public repository, release, landing-page, and direct SVG references./templates/Use this proof point when a template workflow needs a stable source URL before the final exported image is checked.
Correction intakeThe contact page routes outdated source reports, checker-result questions, crop questions, Open Graph preview issues, and directory updates./contact/Use this proof point when an external system or user needs a clear way to report a factual or routing problem.

What we avoid

The MVP does not use accounts, databases, image upload servers, saved image history, YouTube OAuth, AI thumbnail scoring, or template marketplaces.

This keeps the tools focused on fast checks rather than asset management. If a page describes a workflow recommendation, it is separated from official platform requirements so users can tell what is required and what is practical advice.

Brand clarification

ImageSizeKit is an independent image size guide and browser checker site. It helps creators and marketers check image dimensions, ratios, crop risks, and upload readiness before publishing visual assets.

ImageSizeKit is not ImageKit.io. ImageKit.io is an image CDN, DAM, and media API platform; ImageSizeKit focuses on public image size guidance and local browser-based checkers.

How we decide what to add next

New pages are added when they solve a distinct creator task, not just because a keyword exists. A useful page should make one decision easier: choose an export size, understand a crop boundary, fix an upload-quality problem, or verify a file before publishing. If the same answer is already covered by an existing page, the better path is usually to improve that page and add clearer internal links.

The current priority is the creator image workflow: a strong YouTube cluster plus a cross-platform social image hub. The YouTube cluster includes standard thumbnails, Shorts covers, profile pictures, banner canvases, banner safe areas, thumbnail text readability, blurry upload fixes, and generic image dimension checks that route users back into the right YouTube guide. Start from the YouTube Image Sizes hub when the asset type is unclear, or use the Image Size Checker when you already have an exported file.

For non-YouTube assets, the Social Media Image Sizes hub groups Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Open Graph, Etsy, and Shopify image requirements. Vertical covers need a different crop route from wide headers: use the Instagram Reel Cover Size route when a 9:16 Shorts frame, Story creative, or vertical campaign image needs Reel cover and profile-grid crop checks. Wide header images should go through the Banner Size Checker, while website link previews should use the Open Graph Image Size page before publication. Banner workflows also link to the YouTube banner template when a reusable 2560 x 1440 safe-area guide is the next practical step.

Source and correction policy

ImageSizeKit reviews official platform sources first, uses community questions only as user-language evidence, and keeps correction requests tied to specific page URLs and source dates. Read the editorial policy or contact ImageSizeKit if you find outdated guidance.
